David E. Kepler
SVP, Chief Sustainability Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Corporate Director, Shared Services, The Dow Chemical Company
D. E. (Dave) Kepler is senior vice president, chief sustainability offi¬cer (CSO), and chief information officer (CIO) of The Dow Chemical Company. He is also corporate director of Shared Services. In this capacity, Mr. Kepler has global responsibility for all shared services functions including cus¬tomer service, information systems, pur¬chasing, Six Sigma, supply chain, work process improvement and environment, and health and safety (EH&S).
As CSO, Mr. Kepler is charged with leading the company’s push toward achieving its 2015 sustainability goals and responsible for guiding sustainable business development. In addition, he chairs the Corporate Environmental Advisory Council (CEAC), an organi¬zation formed to provide an outside-in perspective related to sus¬tainability issues at Dow. He is also a member of Dow’s management com¬mittee and chairs its sustainability committee.
Mr. Kepler is a member of the board of directors of Teradata Corporation. He also serves on the board of directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and is the Great Lakes regional vice chairman. In addition, he is on the executive board of the Chemical IT Council and leads its cyber security program. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. At Dow’s headquarters in Midland, Michigan, he continues to be active in the United Way of Midland County and cur¬rently chairs the Alexis de Toqueville Society.
Darren Hammell
CEO, Princeton Power Systems, Inc.
Darren Hammell graduated with honors from Princeton University with a B.S.E. in com¬puter science in June 2001, where he studied human-computer interface tech¬nology, algorithms, advanced program¬ming techniques, and macro- and micro-economics. While a student, Mr. Hammell won the 2001 Princeton University Business Plan Contest with the team that founded Princeton Power Systems. He has served as president and CEO and on the board of directors since PPS’ founding. Princeton Power designs and manu¬factures advanced electric power con¬version equipment for solar energy, wind turbines, industrial control, and military applications. The company’s customers include NASA, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Department of Energy, Rolls-Royce, Energy Photovoltaics, and WorldWater and Solar Corp. PPS was named the “Early Stage Company of the Year” in 2005 by the New Jersey Technology Council and was a finalist for the NJBIZ Emerging Company of the Year in 2006. PPS is profitable and cash-flow-positive, with 15 employees and efficient, cost-effective products to facilitate the drastic changes in energy production and use that will occur over the next decades.
Mr. Hammell was named as one of Red Herring magazine’s “Young Moguls” in 2005, and NJBIZ’s “Forty Under 40” business leaders in New Jersey the same year. He is enrolled in the Wharton Program for Working Professionals.
Raju Boligala
President and CEO, HerbThyme Farms, Inc.
Raju Boligala has been the president and CEO of HerbThyme Farms, Inc. since 2003. He has been in the agriculture/produce business for the past 20 years in various positions in sales, mar¬keting, operations, new product devel¬opment (R&D), strategic planning, and general management.
Previous to HerbThyme Farms, Dr. Boligala was the senior vice president of global professional business, Scotts Company, in Maryville, OH. At Scotts, he managed the Scotts and Miracle-Gro brands on a worldwide basis (including North America) and had the sales and P&L responsibilities.
Dr. Boligala also held the position of president and chief operating officer for Color Spot Nurseries (one of the largest flowering and bedding plant companies in the U.S.) and held senior-level positions with the Weyerhaeuser Company and Hines Horticulture. opportunity.
